Description
- Manage debt recovery processes and strategies
- Maintain solid relationships with clients to ensure smooth transactions
- Keep accurate records of all credit transactions and invoicing
- Comply with financial regulations and legislation
- Work closely with the accounting & finance team to implement effective credit control strategies
- Review and update company credit control procedures
- Report on outstanding obligations to the finance department
- Communicate with customers to resolve any financial disputes
Profile
A successful 'Credit Controller' should have:
- A degree or equivalent qualification/experience in Finance, Accounting or related field
- Proven experience in a credit control role within the business services sector
- Understanding of accounting principles and debt recovery regulations
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and accounting software
