Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a full-time Learning Support Assistant for a primary school in Bristol from September 2024.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work in a 1-2-1 support role with a student who has various SEND requirements. The school is a mainstream primary school based in Bristol with a welcoming environment and a small community of around 100 pupils, allowing you to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.

We are looking for candidates who have experience working with children with SEND in a 1-2-1 or small group setting. You should be able to establish trust and build strong relationships with the child to help them succeed academically and emotionally. Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with teachers and parents and providing regular feedback on the child's progress and learning.

Additionally, you should have knowledge of different strategies and techniques to support children with SEND, such as visual aids or sensory activities. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference in a child's education and is committed to their overall well-being and development.

  • The working hours are Monday-Friday from 8:30am-3:30pm (6.5 hours), allowing you to have your evenings and weekends free.
  • The daily rate starts from £85 and depends on your experience and qualifications.
