About the Role:We are seeking a robust and flexible Interim Finance Manager to join the team in Bristol. This role involves managing a team of 7, including 3 direct reports, and supporting the Head of Finance in improving current processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in the charity sector and be available to start as soon as November next week.As a senior manager within the Finance function, the Finance Manager - Management Accounting will be accountable and responsible for the provision of accurate and timely operational financial reports & analysis, including budgets and forecasts for the organisation. They will ensure that the operational business areas operate within an adequate financial control environment in compliance with the appropriate regulatory requirements including centrally determined financial accounting policies and delegated authority levels. The postholder will have overall accountability for ensuring that the organisation is properly reimbursed on a timely basis for the services it provides through management of the billing and cash collection processes.Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of management accountants, providing guidance and ensuring accurate coding and charges.
  • Support the Head of Finance in improving current processes.
  • Lead the budgeting process, including the development of budgeting templates and the handover of the budget process with the outgoing Finance Manager.
  • Provide guidance for management accounts, ensuring all processes are correctly priced and coded.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Director to provide support as needed.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of financial reports and analysis.

What You Will Bring to the Role:

  • Qualified accountant (CA/CPA or equivalent).
  • Extensive experience in budgeting and management accounts.
  • Experience in the charity sector is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with the maturity to manage a team and provide guidance.
  • The ability to start immediately and commit to a 3-6 month interim role.
