About Our Client:Our client, a top-tier private practice firm in Bristol, is looking for a skilled Risk & Compliance Lawyer to join their dynamic team. With a strong focus on providing exceptional risk advice and compliance support in a complex regulatory landscape, the firm is committed to staying ahead of the curve. Led by the General Counsel, their Risk & Compliance team is made up of 10 talented professionals, including experienced lawyers and compliance specialists, who play a crucial role in delivering expert guidance and quick, efficient responses to the firm's needs.
About The Job:We are excited to share an opportunity for a Risk & Compliance Lawyer (0-3 years PQE) to join a dynamic team in Bristol. This is a fantastic chance for those looking to develop their careers in risk and compliance with a leading firm.
As a Risk & Compliance Lawyer, you will:
- Triage the firm's inbox and respond to various queries.
- Serve as the first point of escalation for team members, providing guidance on approaching issues.
- Collaborate with other Risk Lawyers to maintain breach logs and ensure accurate reporting.
- Actively participate in internal projects, providing a 'Risk' perspective.
- Assist senior lawyers with various projects, including a new Client Matter Inception initiative.
- Engage in Data Protection work, advising on internal notified data breaches and related queries, alongside our Data Protection Manager.
- Prepare materials for escalated decisions for lawyers or key stakeholders.
- Provide support to Business Services departments and international offices.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
- A growth mindset and commitment to lifelong learning.
- Relevant experience in Risk & Compliance or a strong interest in the field.
- A solid understanding of Data Protection legislation (preferred).
- Excellent writing skills in plain English.
- A collaborative spirit and ability to build strong relationships within a team.
