Special needs teacher required for SEN school in West Bristol.
We are looking for a teacher to take on a small class of year 7 students with a mixture of diagnosis' of either SEMH, ASC or ADHD. All the students are learning at primary, KS2 level. The work is full time, starting after Febuary half term, with marking and planning required. This role is a long term contract and term time only.
The school specialises mainly in educating students with SEMH, they offer small class sizes, lots of additional support and a more bespoke learning curriculum for students. The school currently have a great team in place to offer the best possible education they can, despite the challenges that students can present with.
Requirements;
- UK QTS in either primary, secondary or SEN.
- Confident in KS2 curriculum and able to differentiate learning to ensure that all students in the class can access the learning.
- Experience ideally in teaching students with SEMH, ASC and ADHD.
- Able to utilise the support staffing within the class to their full potential and ensure that communication is consistent and support is always being reviewed.
- Able to communicate with members of SLT on the progress of students attainment as well as reporting and liasing with parents.
- Good classroom management, with strong boundaries but offered with a empathy and understanding for what students may be struggling with emotionally.
- Effective marking and able to review and adjust lessons plans depending on students progress.
