Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer looking for a challenging role in a critical healthcare environment? Join our clients team at a leading healthcare facility in Bristol, where you will play a key role in maintaining essential mechanical systems. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on mechanical systems, including HVAC, boilers, pumps, and ventilation systems.
  • Ensure the reliable operation of heating, cooling, and water systems to support the healthcare environment.
  • Respond quickly and efficiently to breakdowns, minimising downtime and maintaining essential healthcare services.
  • Carry out fault-finding, repairs, and installations on a range of mechanical equipment in line with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the facilities management team and other engineers to maintain optimal performance of mechanical systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections and testing to ensure compliance with industry standards and healthcare-specific regulations.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified mechanical engineer (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) with experience in building services maintenance.
  • Strong background in maintaining mechanical systems such as HVAC, boilers, pumps, and ventilation.
  • Experience working in a healthcare or similarly regulated environment is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations, including HTM (Health Technical Memoranda) guidance for healthcare environments.
  • Ability to work shifts, including early, mid, and late rotations.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
