Title: Production Supervisor /Team leader
Salary: Up to £32,000k
Location: Bristol
Hours : Monday to Friday, 0600-1400-2200
Type: Permanent
Our client based in Bristol is currently has an exciting opportunity for a production supervisor to join their Team. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and forward-thinking person with food production experience. This is a hands-on role that means being right there on the factory floor, focusing on compliance, technical standards, health and safety, food safety, quality, and production output. You'll be the go-to person ensuring that our team runs smoothly, maintains high standards, and hits production targets.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- You'll be actively supervising and engaging with our production staff during the morning and afternoon shift, ensuring everything operates seamlessly and efficiently.
It's essential to uphold all Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations. You'll help train the shift team to keep everything compliant while making sure documentation is always up to date.
Keep an eye on production processes to ensure our products meet all quality standards. If any issues pop up, you'll swiftly take action to resolve them.
You'll also organize staff assignments to make sure we're using everyone's talents effectively.
Make sure we're following production schedules to maximize output-all while keeping quality at the forefront. You'll manage resources wisely to minimize waste.
Ensure our equipment is used correctly and promptly report any maintenance needs, maintaining our high technical standards.
Promote a culture of safety by enforcing safety procedures and conducting routine checks. We want everyone to be aware and proactive about safety!
You'll need a solid understanding of food safety and health & safety regulations, along with a passion for maintaining these standards.
Managing and motivating our team is key. You'll provide clear direction to ensure everyone is performing.
Strong verbal and written communication skills will be essential for sharing information and collaborating effectively with the Production Manager and other departments.
Skills & experience sought:
- Current/recent experience as a Line Leader or Supervisor within FMCG environment
Experience of training, mentoring and managing others in a fast-paced environment
Able to set & demand high standards
A clear understanding of Health & Safety & Hygiene standards
Excellent communication skills
