Full-Time Teacher required for SEMH School in Taunton

Position: Full-Time TeacherLocation: TA2, TauntonStart Date: ASAP

Pay Rate: dependent on experience 

Reed is working with an independent SEMH school based within Taunton, seeking a dedicated and resilient full-time teacher to join our team immediately. This role primarily involves teaching Year 9 students, with some lessons for Year 10 and Year 11.

Subjects to be Taught:

  • English (Year 9 only)
  • Science
  • Food
  • Personal Development
  • IT

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach small groups of no more than 9 students.
  • Serve as a keyworker and participate in intervention programs.
  • Utilize provided schemes and work under the guidance of a curriculum lead.

Qualifications:

  • Strong Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or Unqualified Teacher (UQT) candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Potential for the role to become permanent.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong and resilient with excellent relational management skills.
  • Capable of ensuring a smooth transition during the school’s restructuring phase.
