Successful SEND Holiday School is recruiting a permanent part time 21.6 hours a week SEND Holiday Club Manager to start in August 2024.

The SEND Holiday Club Manager / SEND Playscheme Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of the SEND Holiday Club, ensuring a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The manager will lead a team of staff, plan and deliver activities, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices.

  • Develop, implement, and oversee a variety of activities and programs tailored to children and young people with ASD, complex needs, physical disabilities, and learning disabilities.
  • Organising the minibuses via the Local Authority (LA) to pick up and drop off children safely
  • Ensure that all activities are inclusive, safe, and meet the needs of all participants.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and make necessary adjustments.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of staff and volunteers.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and provide ongoing support and development opportunities.
  • Ensure staff adhere to all policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children and young people attending the club.
  • Implement safeguarding policies and procedures, and respond to any concerns or incidents promptly and appropriately.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of children and staff, including health and safety documentation.
  • Act as the main point of contact for parents and carers, addressing any concerns or queries.
  • Foster positive relationships with families, ensuring they feel supported and informed.
  • Promote the club within the local community and build partnerships with local organisations.
  • Manage the club’s budget, including forecasting and monitoring expenses.
  • Ensure all administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time, including registration, attendance records, and reports.
  • Oversee the use and maintenance of facilities and equipment.
  • Experience working with children and young people with ASD, complex needs, physical disabilities, and learning disabilities.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Ability to plan, organise, and deliver engaging activities and programs.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
  • Must live in commutable distance to the London borough of Bromley
