Pertemps are currently working for a growing organisation who are going through a period of growth and who are based in the Livingston area who currently have an opportunity for someone join them as a Finance Manager on a part-time basis.  They are ideally looking for someone who can work 25 hours per week.  Salary for this role will be circa £30k(pro-rata) depending on experience.  Working within a small finance team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients, preparing monthly management accounts including monthly journals for accruals and prepayments etc. Other tasks include the daily and monthly finance tasks for their clients including daily banking, posting and reconciling purchases and sales ledgers and reconciling external systems to SAGE.About you:
  • Part qualified or QBE
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a UK based accountancy practice
  • Experience of managing a portfolio of clients
  • Proficient in SAGE Line 50 and similar accounting systems
  • Experience of preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • IT proficient (Outlook, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly for communicating with non-finance professionals
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and tight deadlines
  • A people person with good team working skills
  • Pro-actively identify and creatively solve problems
