A Primary schools needs a KS2 - Teaching Assistant - Burford is recruiting for a ASAP start, you will monitor the KS2 student with the guidence of the KS2 students.

You will be requried to offer more specialised lessons, you will be given the materials adapted from the KS2 curriculum by the class teacher. Some students may need you to adapt the work topic to their interest, the school is open to different techniques you may suggest to increase engagement.

Your time will be divided between Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 subject to be altered depending on the needs of the Primary West Oxfordshire students.

The KS2 - Teaching Assistant - Burford role:

  • Assist classroom activities - Work in partnership with teachers to plan and perform dynamic lessons to pupils, implementing inclusive and creative strategies. 1:1 support may be required.
  • Excellent support team - opportunities for progression, essential for aspiring Early Careers.
  • Supporting and nurturing the environment for the Burford based students to absorb a solid foundation of their education. Previous understanding of the national Key Stage 2 curriculum is not essential, ability to adapt to new content is key.
  • Awareness of child safe-guarding and ability to highlight concerns to senior teaching staff.
  • Promote holistic student growth, contribute to creating a safe cohesive classroom.
