Finance Assistant

The Role

Our client, a leading independent travel organisation, has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join their team. Working as part of a small finance team, and reporting to the Finance Director, this pivotal role will be varied across sales ledger, purchase ledger and general accounts administration.

  • Accounts payable
    • Processing purchase orders
    • Working with a varied ledger including international suppliers
    • Managing internal enquiries from operations team
  • Accounts receivable
    • Processing sales invoices in Sage
    • Producing credit control reports and working with sales team on collections
  • Reconciliations
    • Multi-currency reconciliations
    • Posting card payments
  • General Finance Administration
    • Assisting with month end and year end
    • Updating financial information daily and running frequent reports

Requirements

We would expect the successful Finance Assistant to be able to demonstrate some experience in a finance position. You will be detail oriented with great organisational skills. You will be a cheerful and confident communicator who is comfortable with picking up new IT systems - good experience in Excel would be useful. A positive attitude and a commitment to doing a good job is particularly important to our client. This role could suit someone who has worked as a Finance Administrator, Accounts Assistant or Accounts Administrator.
