Job Title: Embedded Electronics Engineer
Location: Burnley
Location of work: Flexible hybrid Work from Home
Salary: Up to 50,000 + Benefits
An exciting new position has been created for an Embedded Electronics Engineer to join our SME sized client who specialise in the design and manufacture of a range of devices for use across multiple industry sectors. The successful Embedded Electronics Engineer will be joining a growing engineering team with the chance to contribute to the development of a new range of products that will be sold around the UK and Europe. Their office is in the Burnley area, but they offer very flexible work from home.
Your workload will be split between embedded software and electronics design. You will be expected to contribute towards the full design life cycle of a new product range whilst also maintaining existing products. You will take part in design meetings and work closely with other engineers with your role including software design, programming, implementing comms protocols and real time operating systems You will also work closely with electronic engineers to develop and integrate embedded software for PCB designs.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Embedded C and C++ programming
- Microcontroller development - STM32, PIC, ESP32 or ARM ideally
- RTOS development - FreeRTOS, Zephyr etc
- A range of serial protocols: SPI, I2C, CAN, UART, MQTT etc
- Relevant degree qualification
Desirable skills include:
- Python
- Electronic circuit design
- Embedded Linux
- FPGA programming
This role will best suit an Embedded Engineer who enjoys both software and hardware elements of design and is keen to make a real impact in the design and development of a range of new products.
