Are you an expert in outsourced accounting?
Does the idea becoming the first member of a brand new team, with the opportunity to grow and progress as the department does, appeal to you?
Reed Practice have been engaged to source experienced Accountants and Managers from an outsourcing, or business services department within practice, to join the firm as Outsourcing Manager, for a brand new team being created by one of the Partners.
This is an exciting opportunity as the firm has grown to a point where a dedicated service is now required. Â With a reporting line to the corporate department, the Outsourcing team will be acting as specialist advisors, providing a bespoke and client-led high-value, low volume service.
The role of Outsourcing Manager will initially be very hands-on, whilst you implement procedures and systems to eventually delegate work to a Junior Accountant of whom you will be responsible for recruiting and developing.
Tasks will include providing the following to both limited companies and charitable entities:
- Regular bookkeeping and management accounting for specialist clients
- Acting as the outsourced finance team for a selection of clients supporting them by:
- Presentation of financial information to board and c-suite leadership teams
- Developing bespoke reporting for clients specific to their individual needs
- Forecasting, both cashflow and profit & loss
- Preparation of grant claims, liaising with grant bodies on submission and presentation
- Advising clients of payments to make to conserve cash flow
- Liaising with auditors, representing the clients.
- Advising on corporation tax instalment payments
This is a career move that can offer real growth personally and professionally, as you will also have a chance to manage a sub-team team in the Corporate Services department as well as develop the Outsourcing function.
Experience required will include not only management but year-end accounts and associated tax, to enable you to provide a 360 degree service or prepare for audit, if the entity is viable for this. You may be working in industry now, but have trained in practice, or in an outsourcing/business services role currently.Â
Those who possess the accounting expertise but lack the charity experience will be trained in this area.
Other desired knowledge and attributes are –
- ACCA,ACA or CIMA qualification – we will consider experts in this area of accounts who are qualified by experience.
- Management, year-end and tax experience
- Sound systems experience including CCH and Xero
- People management experience
- Commercially minded and client focused
- Shows enthusiasm for the role and the firm
- Able to identify and communicate areas of improvement
Salary is negotiable on experience. Contact Natalie Harden at Reed to learn more about this fantastic career move.
