We're looking for a Laboratory Service Engineer to play a key role in installing, maintaining, and supporting our high-tech flow chemistry equipment.

This is a hands-on role that combines in-house system qualification with international travel to customer sites, providing technical expertise and ensuring customer satisfaction.

In addition to this, as our Laboratory Service Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Installing, commissioning and qualifying Vapourtec's flow chemistry systems at customer sites.
  • Performing on-site maintenance, upgrades and repairs in laboratories worldwide.
  • Providing technical support via phone, e-mail and customer visits.
  • Gathering insights from customers to help improve our technology.
  • Developing technical bulletins and guides to enhance customer experience.

In order to be successful in this role you must have:

  • 2 + years of experience in a laboratory service or installation role.
  • NVQ Level 3 / Higher Diploma / Degree in Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
  • Strong trouble shooting skills and logical problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Enjoys international travel and working independently.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Excel and Word.
  • Full UK manual driving license.

It would be great if you had:

  • A background in the scientific industry or laboratory environments.
  • Electro-mechanical skills.
  • Previous experience in working overseas.
