As a Senior Support Worker, you will be passionate for supporting and empowering young people to achieve their goals. As the senior team member on shift, you’ll also be responsible for leading and directing both staff and resources.

Based in Chevington, this is a full time, permanent position working 38 hours per week. This opportunity offers a salary for £26,700 - £27,600 depending on experience and qualifications.

The day to day

  • Acting as the senior member of staff during each shift, supporting staff as well as service users to ensure a compliant and effective service.
  • Directing and monitoring staff and resources, as well as identifying areas for improvement.
  • Providing a comprehensive support service, empowering and encouraging service users to reach their full potential.
  • Working closely with service users, their families and third parties to implement effective care plans that focus on the goals of each individual.
  • Ensuring compliance with company and legal regulations, as well as the safety of all service users in line with legislation, and accurate records are kept.

You will have/be

  • At least 2 year’s working with children with learning disabilities and communication difficulties, within a residential environment and leadership role.
  • Strong communication & listening skills, being able to promote the voice of the child and motivate the team.
  • Knowledge of regulations, legislations and procedures relevant to the role.
