Computer Science Teacher - Bury - January start We are specifically working with a secondary school in Bury, who are working exclusively with ourselves, to find them a qualified teacher of Computer Science. They require the successful candidate will be asked to teach key stage 3 & 4 classes for 2 terms, from January until July 2025. You will be required to become fully immersed in the department, attend departmental meetings and be available for parents evenings as and when required. As well as deliver lessons that are both engaging and academically appropriate to stretch the students in the classes. There needs to be a focus on AfL and progressing students in an engaging and enjoyable way. There is a new headteacher in the school that has taken control and increased expectations in relation to behaviour and curriculum. Due to the new leadership internal inspections have suggested the school is Good against the new Ofsted framework. Many pupils follow instructions and focus well on their learning. The students in the school feel safe including the SEN students. Some pupils, including those who attend the specially resourced provision for pupils with SEND, appreciate the activities on offer at breaktimes and lunchtimes. For example, some pupils enjoy being members of the brass group. Others are regular attendees at choir practice, netball, football and the dungeons and dragons club. Up to date prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however, training can be provided). Up to date behaviour management & FGM training in the last year (essential, however, training can be provided).
