Psychology gaduate - Bolton - January start Prospero Teaching are looking for passionate and ambitious Psychology Graduates with a passion for supporting students with SEMH needs in an alternative provision in Bolton. The students will be aged 7 - 18 and it is essential that you have experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs or PTSD. Position Details: Location Bolton Position Graduate Teaching Assistant Type of work General Teaching Assistant work with small groups of Children with SEMH needs Start date January 2025 End date July 2025 Duration Temporary Full time Minimum rate - £100 per day Hours 8:30 am 4pm : Mon Fri (term time only) Responsibilities: Working with and providing support to children with SEN (Special Educational Needs) Experience of supporting pupils with SEMH needs The willingness to provide an environment in which pupils can reach their full potential The ability to build rapports with the children, supporting their social and behavioural needs, and acting as a mentor Role Requirements: Psychology (BA Hons) degree Enhanced DBS (clean and relevant) Can be obtained through Prospero Teaching Safeguarding certificate, prevent awareness, FGM - essential Behaviour management training - desirable A committed and enthusiastic attitude to work Excellent communication skills and the ability to form new relationships A full driving licence with access to a vehicle Desirable: Previous experience working with young people Good knowledge of SEMH needs Prospero Teaching is able to offer the successful candidate: Free, accredited continued professional development courses including safeguarding and behaviour management In-house Training and Development Team Ideal for graduates looking to gain experience within an alternative educational setting If you would like to be considered for this role, please click apply Unfortunately, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
