We are looking for a Junior Software Developer to join an expanding team in an award-winning business near Bury.
The role requires strong commercial experience in PHP and Laravel, along with knowledge of HTML, CSS, JSON, and SQL.
Candidates should have at least 1-2 years of relevant experience and excellent communication skills.
The position offers a hybrid work model after an initial period, with 2 days in the office and 3 days working remotely.
The salary for this role is competitive and commensurate with experience.

We are seeking a Junior Software Developer to join an award-winning business located near to Bury. Due to expansion, we are seeking someone with good technical knowledge to join a busy and thriving team. Main Responsibilities include:

Contribute to all phases of the application development lifecycle
Identify potential improvement opportunities
Ensure all business applications are supported to a high standard.
Contributes ideas and efforts towards the development and delivery of service improvement initiatives and related software development projects
Help conduct live releases for all business applications
Provide on-call support for business-critical applications requiring extended support
Contribute to code reviews using GitHub pull requests

Skills:

Strong commercial experience in PHP and Laravel
Experience in HTML, CSS (Tailwind and Bootstrap frameworks), JSON · SQL skills (MySQL and SQL Server)
Experience using Vue 2/3 and JavaScript (jQuery)
Git and basic Linux knowledge
Microservice architecture knowledge beneficial
Good communicator with all management levels and stakeholders alike
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Confident, self-disciplined and autonomous
Organised with good time management

Please note, this is a hybrid role. After an initial period, you will be working to a 2 day in the office and 3 day working remotely model.
