We are seeking a Junior Software Developer to join an award-winning business located near to Bury.

Due to expansion, we are seeking someone with good technical knowledge to join a busy and thriving team.

Main Responsibilities include:
  • Contribute to all phases of the application development lifecycle
  • Identify potential improvement opportunities
  • Ensure all business applications are supported to a high standard.
  • Contributes ideas and efforts towards the development and delivery of service improvement initiatives and related software development projects
  • Help conduct live releases for all business applications
  • Provide on-call support for business-critical applications requiring extended support
  • Contribute to code reviews using GitHub pull requests


Skills:
  • Strong commercial experience in PHP and Laravel
  • Experience in HTML, CSS (Tailwind and Bootstrap frameworks), JSON SQL skills (MySQL and SQL Server)
  • Experience using Vue 2/3 and JavaScript (jQuery)
  • Git and basic Linux knowledge
  • Microservice architecture knowledge beneficial
  • Good communicator with all management levels and stakeholders alike
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident, self-disciplined and autonomous
  • Organised with good time management


Please note, this is a hybrid role. After an initial period, you will be working to a 2 day in the office and 3 day working remotely model.
