About Us:Spencer Clarke Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Year 1/2 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Bury. This role involves teaching a small class with a high number of SEN pupils, so experience in supporting children with special educational needs is essential.

The Role:As a Year 1/2 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated lessons to meet the diverse needs of your pupils. You will play a key role in creating an inclusive learning environment, ensuring all children feel supported and able to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the mixed age group and varying abilities.
  • Provide tailored support for pupils with SEN, adapting teaching methods to suit their needs.
  • Work closely with support staff and SEN specialists to create individual learning plans.
  • Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and structured classroom environment.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff to support learning and well-being.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to help each child achieve their potential.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching KS1, ideally in a mixed-age setting.
  • Strong background in supporting pupils with SEN.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual needs.
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Passion for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
