Production Team leader

We are looking to recruit for a Materials Coordinator / Production Team leader due to expansion is our established client based in Caerphilly.

The role will be assisting the Section Leader to maintain the safe and smooth operation of the production team and consulting with other internal teams to ensure that customer product expectations are met. You will be required to help support the team and equally be responsible for the health, safety, and well being of team members, supporting their training, with a focus on company quality standards whilst meeting efficiency and productivity targets.

Duties:

• Health & Safety/ Well being of the team.
• Quality and Productivity
• Receive materials, quantity and booking.
• Order materials from warehouse according to production plan.
• Escalate shortages to relevant department after internal investigation.
• Forklift truck delivery of finished goods where required.
• Carry out regular stock check / cycle count according to process.
• Continuous Improvement

Skills:

• Good people skills - can build effective working relationships with colleagues from all areas.
• Good problem-solving skills
• Conversant with using manufacturing tools and equipment.
• Experience of working with IT systems
• Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques
• Desirable:
• Fork truck operator - qualified, although training will be provided.

Working Hours:

6am - 2pm Monday to Thursday

6am - 12pm Friday

Salary is 26353 to start
