In this role, you will be directly responsible for all financial and statutory reporting and will work closely with the Head of Finance and Management Accountant in a collaborative, supportive environment. This position offers the opportunity for growth and development, especially for a qualified accountant eager to make their first step into industry or expand their experience in a fast-paced and rewarding setting.Key Responsibilities:

Lead the preparation and management of all financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements.
Collaborate with the Management Accountant to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes.
Assist in the preparation of the annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory frameworks.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Work closely with the Head of Finance to ensure that all financial operations align with the institution's broader strategic goals.
Support the monthly and annual statutory audit processes, liaising with external auditors as required.
Provide financial insights and support to senior leadership and department heads.

Qualifications:

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
Proven experience in financial accounting, preferably within an education or public sector setting.
Strong understanding of financial and statutory reporting requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
A proactive, dynamic, and energetic approach to work.
Must be willing to attend the Cambridge office every day.
