Our client, based in Cambridge, is looking for a Sales Manager to join their team. The Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our client’s business in the Cambridgeshire region. This role involves developing and managing B2B and B2C sales strategies, nurturing key relationships, identifying new opportunities, and enhancing customer engagement. The Sales Manager will work closely with the Sales Support Executive Team and report directly to the Head of Sales. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, target-driven, and thrives in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Revenue Growth:
o Develop and implement sales plans to drive B2C and B2B revenue growth across the Cambridge region; proactively seeking new B2B Partnerships with local businesses and community organisations.
o Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and lead generation.
o Manage the full sales cycle, from initial prospecting and cold calling to closing deals and onboarding new clients.
Client Relationship Management:
o Conduct face-to-face meetings, presentations, and networking events to promote our client’s services and enhance brand visibility.
o Ensure excellent post-sale customer engagement and account management to foster long-term relationships and repeat business.
Operational Collaboration:
o Collaborate with teams to ensure adequate service provision and identify opportunities for growth.
o Attend and contribute to regional sales meetings, providing insights and updates on performance, market trends, and competitor activities.
CRM Management and Reporting:
o Accurately record all sales activities, client interactions, and account details in Salesforce CRM.
o Generate and review sales reports, providing actionable insights and recommendations to improve performance.
Market Engagement and Brand Development:
o Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and community events to enhance brand presence and market reach.
o Identify market trends and competitor activities, adjusting strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
o Collaborate with the marketing team to develop campaigns tailored to the Cambridge market.
Candidates will need to have the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience in a B2B or B2C sales environment.
- Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Experience in developing and managing long-term business relationships.
- Familiarity with CRM software (preferably Salesforce) and a high level of IT proficiency.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and driven by success.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel across the region as required - a company car will be provided.
