A fantastic and very well reputed client of ours in Cambridge are looking for a Senior FP&A Analyst for a 12 month FTC. The role will play a very key role in the financial planning and analysis within the group function and will report directly into the Financial controller.

Key Requirements:

  • Involvement in business critical special projects requiring analytical support and finance leadership;
  • Board level analysis and commentary for the Group's month end management accounts;
  • Preparation of value adding, recurring and ad-hoc business analysis activities in support of the leadership team;
  • Support for M&A activity including due diligence and execution;
  • Based on the long term business plan, helping to evaluate the future need of the business and to identify key areas of focus; and
  • As required, play a supporting role in the Group financial planning and forecasting cycles

Experience required:

  • Analysing and presenting complex problems in the absence of perfect information;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, clear and concise thought processes and the ability to lead others to a conclusion;
  • Preparation of high quality financial analysis and reports for key internal stakeholders;
  • Independent thought and the use of initiative to identify and creatively solve problems; and
  • Working and engaging with non-finance personal and managing differing interests

The following experience would be useful, but is not essential

  • Manufacturing environment with an overhead recovery model; and
  • M&A activity: target analysis, due diligence and deal support/execution
