Salary: 35,000 per annum
About the Role
My client is seeking skilled professionals to join their growing Security Operations Centre (SOC) team. As a provider of outsourced security monitoring and incident response services, they support a diverse range of customers with a Microsoft-centric technology stack.
This role is ideal for candidates with experience in IT support, security operations, or system deployment, looking to specialise in Microsoft-focused security services. My client offers comprehensive training, with opportunities to gain Microsoft security certifications, from Security Operations Analyst to Certified Security Administrator Associate.
Key Responsibilities
Log and categorise security events, incidents, and customer inquiries.
Conduct initial event analysis and escalate issues as necessary.
Investigate security alerts and liaise with customers to confirm resolution.
Work within a rotating 24/7 shift schedule.
Essential Skills & Experience
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience installing and managing security software.
Knowledge of IT infrastructure, including:
Microsoft 365 suite
Azure Active Directory
Azure portal
Desirable Experience
Previous work in a SOC or cybersecurity team.
Hands-on experience with Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) tools (e.g., Azure Sentinel).
Familiarity with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools.
Relevant Microsoft security certifications.
