About the Role

Are you ready to lead, innovate, and drive growth in a rapidly evolving commercial landscape? We are seeking an inspiring Head of UK Commercial to spearhead our clients UK sales organisation, unlocking new levels of revenue and profitability. In this pivotal role, you'll craft and execute cutting-edge strategies, foster powerful partnerships, and energise a high-performing team. You'll take full ownership of the UK Sales Function-covering Field Sales, Aftermarket, Key Accounts, OEM, Solution Sales, Market Development, and Contract growth-and be a driving force behind the execution of both global strategies and their unique UK operational initiatives.

As a key player on the Channel leadership team, you will shape the future of the UK commercial efforts and play a vital role in taking the business to the next level.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will be expected to:

Drive strategic vision

Lead the creation and delivery of innovative initiatives to accelerate revenue growth and maximise profitability.

Leverage market intelligence: Use deep business and market insights to shape strategy, boost sales planning, and spot opportunities to tap into new business.

Lead with impact: Inspire and guide the sales function to hit and exceed targets, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.

Be a thought leader: Demonstrate modern, forward-thinking leadership that motivates your team to achieve their best while embodying leadership values across all levels.

Foster collaboration: Build a cohesive team that thrives on communication, engagement, and a shared vision of success.

Reward success: Design and implement reward systems that celebrate over-achievement and inspire the team to surpass targets.

Own key relationships: Build and nurture senior-level relationships with key accounts, orchestrating activities that drive success.

Negotiate with confidence: Skilfully manage complex contracts, quotations, and auctions, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.

Forecast and report: Deliver precise and actionable forecasts and reports that keep the business ahead of the curve.

Champion continuous improvement: Seek ways to enhance sales performance while contributing to broader global and channel initiatives.

Deliver excellence: Align sales activity with other business functions to create a seamless, top-tier customer experience.

What You'll Achieve in Your First 6, 12, and 18 Months

First 6 months:

We'll set you up for success with dedicated management training and support.

Establish regular reviews with your direct reports, setting clear, actionable goals.

Build a strong network within the organisation and the Global Sales Manager community.

First 12 months:

Define the UK Sales strategy and customer messaging, ensuring alignment with channel activities.

Develop annual objectives, Key Result Areas, and commission schemes that align with business goals.

Collaborate across teams to ensure the delivery of strategy and key initiatives.

Implement an Individual Development Plan for ongoing personal and team growth.

Foster a culture of excellence within your management team, measuring success against our leadership behaviours.

18 months:

Establish metrics and controls to track performance, identifying areas for improvement.

Continue to mentor and develop your team, setting robust IDPs and celebrating successes.

Deliver strong year-on-year growth, contributing to long-term strategy.

Pro-actively identify new revenue opportunities and ways to elevate the channel's performance.

About You

We're looking for an ambitious and dynamic leader with a proven track record in driving commercial success in B2B environments. You'll need to inspire a multi-disciplinary team, driving collaboration across the UK Channel and globally. You will have excellent knowledge of creating and implementing a sales strategy, one that you believe in, and will bring others on a journey. Perhaps you have experience of change management, pushing business into new, successful directions.

Key skills you'll bring to the role:

 Expertise in strategic planning, leadership, and commercial success.

Strong skills in sales planning, forecasting, and reporting.

A deep understanding of diverse sales techniques and financial models.

Proficiency in data management (CRM systems, etc.).

Experience in coaching high-performing teams to achieve and exceed ambitious targets.

Self-motivation and the ability to thrive autonomously.

A history of surpassing tough targets and driving exceptional results.

Bonus points if you have:

Professional sales training.

Experience in capital equipment sales to manufacturing environments.

Knowledge of printing technologies, coding, and marking solutions.
