Portfolio Assistant

Location: Girton, Cambridge

Job Purpose:

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Portfolio Assistant to support their Investment Management team in delivering exceptional service to their clients. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a dynamic investment environment and contribute to the success of their client portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support across the trade implementation process and daily investment activities, including trade support, rebalancing, corporate actions, and client reporting.
  • Assist with portfolio monitoring, performance tracking, model changes, and internal management information.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships between Advisors and the Investment team, offering ad hoc support when required.
  • Stay informed about UK and global financial markets, economic trends, and current events.
  • Develop a solid understanding of financial products and investment strategies tailored to individual and corporate clients.
  • Attend Investment Committee meetings, take meeting notes, and contribute to strategic discussions.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as internal policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong academic background.
  • CII Level 4 or equivalent
  • 1+ years of relevant experience (desirable but not essential).
  • Proficiency in Excel and strong communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to continuous learning, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving.
