Platform Recruitment is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer for a contract position with a manufacturer of bespoke special purpose machinery.
The role offers a negotiable rate and requires immediate availability for an initial contract length of 3 months.
Candidates must have hands-on experience managing end-to-end product development and strong 3D CAD skills, particularly in Solidworks.
Experience in designing special purpose machinery or capital equipment, along with knowledge of fabrication, machining, and assembly techniques, is essential.
The position is based onsite in Cambridge and is exempt from IR35 due to the small company status.

Platform Recruitment has partnered with a manufacturer specialising in the development of bespoke special purpose machinery. We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join on a contract basis as soon as possible.

Requirements:

Hands-on experience managing end-to-end product development
