Technical Procurement Engineer

A Thermochemical technology company pioneering the production of renewable fuels, chemicals and gases. Developed by a leading team of scientists and engineers a truly game changing technology has been developed that will help tackle the worlds climate crisis.

The Job:

You will be responsible in the large part for scheduling your own work, to ensure the business objectives are met, always identifying and delivering cost saving opportunities whilst procuring the most suitable components for the project.  Some Key Tasks will include:

  • Contribution to the generation of procurement specifications.
  • Build and maintain strategic and key supplier relationships, providing clear communication on day-to-day procurement activities
  • Accountable for successful supplier performance management
  • Ensure technical excellence, quality and functionality of all and contracts according to quality, safety, reliability, maintainability and cost targets.
  • Contribute to proposals and contracts to ensure budgets and lead times are accurate and viable.
  • Work with other individuals, teams and disciplines with the business to support Sales, new product development and aftermarket support.
  • Undertake vendor site visits and technical meetings as required.

    The Person:

    We are looking for a self-starter with a keen eye for detail. You will be degree qualified, or have equivalent experience. Experience within Oil, Gas, or fuel industries would be a large advantage.
