The Role
As QA Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all quality assurance activities across the manufacturing site. You will lead a team of QA professionals, manage audits, and ensure that all products meet the companys high-quality standards and regulatory requirements. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement in quality processes, helping to maintain a culture of food safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead QA Team: Manage and develop a team of quality assurance auditors and technicians, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure they meet departmental objectives.
- Quality System Oversight: Oversee and maintain the companys Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and internal quality standards.
- Audit Management: Plan and lead internal audits, ensuring that all production and processes adhere to food safety standards and company policies.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the site meets all relevant food safety regulations (e.g., BRC, HACCP, ISO), and prepare for external audits and inspections from regulatory bodies and customers.
- Non-Conformance and Corrective Actions: Oversee the identification and resolution of non-conformances, managing corrective and preventive actions to address any quality issues.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Review and analyze quality metrics, trends, and performance data to identify areas for improvement and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve quality standards, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency, ensuring that the food manufacturing process is optimized for safety and quality.
- Supplier and Customer Interaction: Manage relationships with suppliers and customers, ensuring product quality standards are met and addressing any quality concerns that arise.
- Training & Development: Develop training programs to improve quality knowledge and skills across all departments, promoting a culture of food safety and quality awareness.
