Quality Control Team Leader

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Control Team Leader to join our client based in Cannock. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance and control, with proven leadership experience in maintaining high product standards. In this role, you will oversee daily operations of the quality control department, ensuring all products meet required standards before reaching the customer.

As a Quality Control Team Leader, you will collaborate with various departments to address and resolve quality issues, implement control procedures, and drive continuous improvements. Additionally, you will mentor and train your team, conduct performance evaluations, and ensure full compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the daily operations of the quality control team.
  • Ensure all products meet required quality standards before shipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Develop, implement, and refine quality control procedures.
  • Mentor and train quality control team members.
  • Conduct team performance evaluations.
  • Maintain compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
  • Prepare and present quality reports to management.
  • Develop corrective and preventive actions for quality issues.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Manage and maintain quality control documentation and records.
  • Support new product development with quality control insights.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in quality control or assurance.
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards, including ISO certifications.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality control software.
  • Experience with internal audits and customer complaint resolution.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
