About the Role

Bring your expertise of value engineering and strategic cost advice as a Senior Quantity Surveyor to my developer clientbased on the north coast of Kent. You will be responsible for the commercial management of multiple residential schemes, including medium-rise blocks and terraced homes. This role offers the chance to be part of a forward-thinking company that values quality, efficiency, and long-term success.



Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the commercial management of multiple residential projects.
  • Prepare and manage cost plans, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Conduct valuations, variations, and final accounts.
  • Negotiate contracts and procure subcontractors and materials.
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks while maximising value.
  • Work closely with site teams to ensure cost-effective project delivery.
  • Provide accurate financial reporting and cost control.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual and legal obligations.


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in the residential sector.
  • Strong understanding of housebuilding and multi-unit residential developments.
  • Experience managing costs on projects ranging from medium-rise blocks to terraced homes.
  • Strong contractual knowledge (JCT experience preferred).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider project team.
