Acorn by Synergie are pleased to be supporting a family run manufacturing business based in South Wales who are looking for a new Sales Manager to join their friendly team. This role would be a national and international post, so we're flexible on the location of candidates providing you're able to come to South Wales for office visits when required and prepared to travel across the UK and internationally to fulfil the expectations of the post.

Our client is a growing organisation with multiple sister sites across Europe. We're looking for a flexible Sales Manager to join a small team and look at developing new business across their cosmetics portfolio of products, both in the UK and across the US/Europe.

We're prepared to negotiate a competitive package as part of the role and Acorn will discuss this with you during the application process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage with prospects across our cosmetics portfolio, and follow-up on warm leads to maximise revenue generating opportunities.
  • Supervising financial planning for sales operations, projecting revenue trends, reviewing monthly outcomes, and addressing shortfalls proactively.
  • Engaging in industry events and professional gatherings to establish connections, gain market insights, and identify fresh business prospects. Conduct follow-ups and provide estimates as needed.
  • Ensuring integrity, professionalism, and superior customer service in all commercial dealings.
  • Coordinating efforts with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product innovation, and sales support, to optimize customer engagement and boost profitability.
  • Formulating and executing commercial initiatives to drive revenue growth and meet business objectives.
  • Leading a team of sales professionals, determining pricing structures, defining performance benchmarks, and fostering skill development through coaching.
  • Cultivating and strengthening partnerships with major clients, suppliers, and industry influencers.

Key Requirements

  • Strong track record of success in business development, specifically in the cosmetics industry.
  • Proactive nature and strong self motivation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to proactively build relationships with customers, prospects and key stakeholders.
  • Ability to use data and formulate reports.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK and internationally.
  • Experience managing a team would be beneficial.
  • Academically well qualified, ideally with a degree in a relevant field.
