You will lead business development, manage environmental impact assessments (EIA), and play a pivotal role in growing the consultancy's environmental water and peat management capabilities. • Serve as Project Executive for water environmental assessments for major infrastructure projects, providing technical oversight, quality control, and contractual compliance.
• Lead the creation of outputs such as:
  • Hydrology, hydrogeology, and geology EIA chapters.
  • Private water supply risk assessments and groundwater-dependent terrestrial ecosystem assessments.
  • Peat surveys, management plans, and carbon balance assessments.
  • Water Framework Directive and geomorphological assessments.
• Develop staff technical capabilities in areas like peat management, water quality, or river restoration.
• Mentor junior staff towards chartership with CIWEM, IEMA, or ICE.
• Line manage staff, conduct annual reviews, and set performance objectives.

• Oversee up to 10 projects simultaneously, managing quality, budgets, and programmes.
• Act as Project Executive for projects up to 100k in value.
• Lead proposals and bids up to 100k.
• Develop and implement a marketing plan to grow your sector of the business, with growth targets linked to bonuses.

• Chartered professional status with CIWEM, IEMA, or ICE (or working towards it).
• Expertise in assessing development impacts on hydrological features, peatland habitats, and geomorphology.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Proven ability to manage and grow a consultancy business.
