Red Recruitment is recruiting an Admin Support Officer in Cardiff to work term time at a school completing administration and reception duties.

Your role will be providing general administrative and financial support to the school whilst reporting to the Senior Admin Assistant. This is a temporary position until December, the hourly rate is 11.79 per hour.

You will be required to have an enhanced DBS.

Benefits and Package for an Admin Support Officer:

  • Salary: 11.79 per hour
  • Hours: All during school term time with an unpaid 30 minute break
  • Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday: 8am - 3.50pm
  • Thursday: 8am - 4.30pm
  • Friday: 8am - 3.30pm
  • Contract Type: Temporary, until December
  • Location: Cardiff

Key Responsibilities of an Admin Support Officer:

  • Undertaking reception duties, such as answering the telephone and handling face-to-face enquiries
  • Assisting with pupil first aid/welfare duties, whilst liaising with parents and other members of staff
  • Providing general administrative support when required
  • Maintaining manual and computerised records and information
  • Complying with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety and security
  • Maintaining and collating pupil records
  • Taking notes during meetings

Key Skills and Experience of an Admin Support Officer:

  • You will be required to have an enhanced DBS before beginning this role
  • Previous administration and/or receptionist experience is required
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask
  • Good communication skills
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good organisational skills are required
