Your new schoolI am currently working with a school in Cardiff to recruit for a Design and Technology teacher specialising in product design. The school set high standards with excellent facilities to encourage the pupils to thrive and achieve their best. The leadership team have a clear vision which is communicated well to all levels of staffing to create a welcoming and inclusive ethos. Your new roleStarting in January, you will be a full-time teacher dealing with a range of lessons and specialising in Product Design and currently hold or be willing to renew a safety certificate such as DATA.You will have responsibilities such as:
- Teach KS3 - KS4
- Nurture a range of learning abilities
- Staff meetings
- Parent's evenings,
- Pastoral responsibilities,
- Planning and preparation of lessons, marking and assessment
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified teaching Status or PCET with secondary school experience
- Experience of teaching Engineering and Product Design
- Proven track record of helping students
- Strong classroom management skills
- Registered with the Education Workforce Council
- Hold a DBS check on the update service or be willing to obtain one
