Form F Assessors - Fostering (Freelance Social Workers)

Foster Wales Cardiff, the in-house fostering service, is seeking experienced and qualified social workers to complete Coram BAAF Form F assessments.

Requirements:
  • Registered with Social Care Wales
  • Reside within a 40-mile radius of Cardiff
  • At least three years of social work experience
  • Previous fostering experience, including completion of Form F assessments
  • Ability to conduct face-to-face visits
Role Overview:

Assessors will be responsible for evaluating and preparing prospective foster carers for presentation to the fostering panel. This includes conducting thorough assessments, gathering evidence, and compiling detailed reports in line with fostering standards.

Attendance at panel meetings, held on Wednesdays, is required to present completed assessments. Assessors must be able to work independently while receiving supervision and regular check-ins.

This role offers flexible, as-needed work, providing an opportunity to support foster carers on their journey while maintaining professional autonomy.
