The Role

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing effective sourcing strategies that align with business objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting market research to identify and evaluate global suppliers.
  • Negotiating contracts and pricing to secure cost-effective, high-quality goods and services.
  • Driving cost-saving initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulations and sustainability goals.
  • Managing sourcing projects, overseeing timelines, budgets, and resources.
    Collaborating with finance, operations, and product development teams to align procurement strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks to ensure a resilient supply chain.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management within an FMCG manufacturing environment. (food, packaging, pharma etc)
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
    Project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of global sourcing practices, trade regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • ERP/MRP proficiency and strong analytical skills.
    A keen interest in sustainability and ethical sourcing.

A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is highly advantageous.
