Financial Investigator

Are you an experienced financial investigator with a strong accountancy or financial background? Do you thrive in a challenging environment where your problem-solving skills can make a real impact? We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Investigator to join our team for a 9-month hybrid contract.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough investigations into financial cases, identifying patterns, trends, and key conclusions from a variety of complex and often incomplete data.
  • Use your analytical skills to assess financial records, challenging inconsistencies and seeking out the necessary information to progress cases.
  • Communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including bankrupts, creditors, and directors, to gather information and ensure smooth case progression.
  • Draft clear, professional, and well-reasoned written materials, such as letters to solicitors and case recommendations.
  • Manage your own caseload, working independently while maintaining high standards of work and delivering results within deadlines.
  • Use Altia software to assist in the investigation process (experience with Altia is highly desirable).
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • A background in accountancy or finance is essential, with legal experience being a significant advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to recognize financial patterns and draw key conclusions from complex data sets.
  • A keen eye for detail and a tenacious approach to investigations.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively and sensitively with various stakeholders, from bankrupts to senior directors.
  • Excellent drafting and report-writing skills, producing high-quality, professional documentation.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and efficiently, managing a caseload of investigations.
  • Experience using Altia software is preferred.
