About the Role

As a Team Manager, you will provide strong leadership, supervision, and guidance to a team of social workers, ensuring that children and families receive the best possible support and interventions. You will play a key role in service improvement, quality assurance, and driving positive outcomes for vulnerable children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of social workers and support staff within the Children’s Social Work Team (CSWT).
  • Ensure effective case management, decision-making, and adherence to safeguarding standards.
  • Provide regular supervision, mentoring, and professional development opportunities for staff.
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure a multi-agency approach to child protection and care planning.
  • Monitor performance, quality assurance, and compliance with statutory responsibilities.
  • Contribute to service development, policy implementation, and continuous improvement.
About You

? A qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.? Significant experience in children’s social care, including safeguarding, child protection, or looked-after children.? Proven leadership and management experience within a social work setting.? Strong knowledge of legislation, policies, and best practices in children’s social care.? Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.? Passionate about driving positive change and improving outcomes for children and families.
