3rd Line Support Engineer

Red Recruitment is recruiting a 3rd Line Support Engineer to join our client located in Chelmsford. The ideal candidate will provide technical support and assistance to end-users, ensuring efficient resolution of IT-related issues.

This is a hybrid position and the salary ranges from 29,726 - 49,999 per annum.

Key Responsibilities of a 3rd Line Support Engineer:

• Responding to IT support requests and provide timely solutions
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues related to hardware, software, and network systems
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining all computer systems and applications cloud or on-site
• Collaborating with 1st or 2nd Line Support Engineers to escalate complex issues
• Documenting all support activities and resolutions in the ticketing system
• Ensuring compliance with IT security policies and procedures
• Assisting in the maintenance of LAN infrastructure

Key Skills and Experience of a 3rd Line Support Engineer:

• Proven experience in a similar role providing 2nd or 3rd line technical support
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and peripherals
• Familiarity with LAN/WAN networks and network protocols
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users
• Proficiency in:
  • Office suite,

  • Azure
  • Intune
  • Conditional access polices
  • Help desk software
  • Operating systems: Windows 11, Windows Servers, Router, Firewalls, Meraki, Cisco, VPNs
