About the role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor:
As Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be joining a specialist property developer in the restoration and conversion of historic and listed buildings into unique homes. With over 60 years of experience, they now have a turnover of nearly 100m with their workforce continuing to grow. Plus, they have become one of England's fastest growing private companies. The project is close to Colchester, sitting on the Essex/Suffolk border, consisting of a collection of 1-5 bedroom houses. This role is site-based.
Key Responsibilities of Assistant Quantity Surveyor:
- Assisting the Senior Quantity Surveyor with project budgets and cost estimations
- Support the preparation of tender documents and contractors bids
- Compile regular reports on the financial status of the project including cost analysis and forecasts
Key Requirements of Assistant Quantity Surveyor:
- Live within commutable distance to Colchester
- Degree educated in Quantity Surveying/Construction Management
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor at a Developer
