Quantity Surveyor – Award-Winning Main Contractor (New Build Education Project)

We are excited to announce an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join an Award-Winning Main Contractor working on a prestigious New Build Education Project in Essex. This role offers a competitive salary of up to £60,000, plus a Car Allowance, and the chance to work with a highly respected company within the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of cost management and control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide accurate cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents and ensure that procurement processes are followed.
  • Carry out detailed measurements, quantities, and valuations of work done.
  • Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure costs are effectively managed and project timelines are adhered to.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure that financial objectives are met.
  • Manage subcontractor agreements and payments.
  • Provide advice on contract and procurement issues.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry, ideally with experience on new build education or commercial projects.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost control.
  • Experience with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Full driving license (for car allowance).
