Senior Quantity Surveyor - Tier One Main Contractor (Essex Area)

Package: £75,000 - £85,000 plus car allowance and bonus

Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for a new challenge A leading Tier One Main Contractor is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage three prestigious projects worth £30m within the Essex area. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established team with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects.

Role Overview:

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will oversee all aspects of cost management, ensuring the successful delivery of the projects on time and within budget. You will manage a small, dynamic team, including a Quantity Surveyor and Assistant Quantity Surveyor, and collaborate with other senior stakeholders to maintain the highest standards of quality and cost control.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the financial performance of three projects, ensuring the successful delivery of the projects within agreed budget and timescale.
Oversee the preparation and management of cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.
Lead and mentor a team, providing guidance to a Quantity Surveyor and Assistant Quantity Surveyor.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, maintaining accurate cost reporting.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and resolve any issues that may arise.
Manage client relationships and attend meetings to present reports and financial updates.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a Tier One Main Contractor environment.
Experience managing multi-million-pound projects (ideally in the £30m+ range).
Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and mentoring junior team members.
In-depth knowledge of the construction industry, contracts, and cost management processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).
