Project Accountant- Cheltenham area (Hybrid)- Up to £65,000- ACCA/CIMA/ACA Qualified/ Part-Qualified/ QBE- Defence Sector
IN2 Consult is partnering with an industry leading client in the Aerospace & Defence sector on the recruitment of an experienced project
accountant to join their growing team. The role has a key focus on analysing key project performance, partnering with senior stakeholders and
overseeing the risk and controls in place around the project.
Key Responsibilities:-
Ensure that projects and programs adhere to established financial controls and processes.

Maintain and update project performance analyses to support financial understanding within the Project Management community.

Apply a consistent methodology across all programs in relation to contingency, risk, and milestone alignment.

Support bids by preparing financial analyses and applying financial acumen.

Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate billing and proper allocation of transactions to projects and programs.

Assist with external and internal audits, providing project overviews, financial reports, and reconciliations.

Comply with all financial reporting requirements and deadlines related to project-driven transactions and reporting.

British Citizen (due to security and regulatory requirements).

Strong project accounting experience within the aerospace, defence, or cyber security sector.

Fully qualified, part-qualified, or QBE in ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.

Proficiency in financial analysis, risk assessment, and project cost control.

Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and senior stakeholders.

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
