I am working with a leading company in the food services industry, committed to delivering exceptional products that meet the ever-evolving demands of their customers. Seeking a Buyer/Trader who will take full ownership of the supplier and product lifecycle within designated categories. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that the product offerings not only meet but exceed business targets and customer expectations.

What will you be doing?

  • Management of supplier relationships and categories for agreed-upon supplier portfolios and defined categories.
  • Efficient supplier commercial revenue tracking and distribution.
  • Select new items in accordance with the plans for developing and retaining internal and external customers.
  • Commodity tracking and reporting, competitor analysis, price management, range reviews, and market updates.
  • Make sure the trading strategy aligns with channel and consumer insights by maintaining regular communication with marketing.
  • Create and maintain strong bonds with the sales team to optimise possible margins through product substitutions and recommended substitutes.

What you can bring to the company:

  • Extremely driven to meet objectives and capable of working independently and productively under pressure.
  • Experience within Buying/Procurement/Purchasing/trading
  • A systematic, orderly approach to work and prioritisation that guarantees meeting deadlines.
  • A strong understanding of Foodservice and Wholesale
  • Previous experience managing relationships across the product supply chain
  • A solid grasp of the important variables, such as Overider, Marketing income, and Product Rebates, that affect the commercial revenues.
  • Proven track record in overseeing connections throughout the product supply chain.
  • Strong stakeholder management abilities and background in dealing at all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Confident and well-versed in giving presentations.
