Location: ChertseySalary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annumStart date: ASAP
We are recruiting for our Client in the Chertsey area for a knowledgeable Product / Mechanical Design Engineer (must have SolidWorks). Tasked with tackling an array of challenges and updates to existing equipment through innovative design, the successful Product / Mechanical Design Engineer will need to be quick-thinking, with a keen eye for detail. Any design engineer with a background of working within injection moulded parts and/or medical device (ISO 13485) sector would be at a distinct advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Make updates to existing designs to include changes from production, testing, change notes, technical drawings, etc.
- Use SolidWorks for all design tasks; experience with SolidWorks is essential.
- Experience with injection mould plastics, optics, and/or medical device manufacturing is highly desirable.
- Liaise with suppliers to send CAD drawings, etc., to get samples made.
- Release design into production following sample approval.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience using SolidWorks.
- Previous experience in opto-mechanical work is ideal.
- Background in the medical device sector (ISO 13485) is an advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
