Job Summary:
We are partnering with a dynamic and highly reputable business in Chester to recruit a Senior Management Accountant on a fixed-term basis for 6-9 months. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified finance professional to work closely with the Finance Director and the Commercial Finance team; you will take ownership of producing accurate financial reports, driving performance insights, and ensuring the seamless execution of month-end processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead financial reporting and performance analysis across multiple business units.
- Prepare, review, and present management accounts, budgets, and financial forecasts.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis, providing meaningful insights to support decision-making.
- Oversee month-end close procedures, reconciliations, and financial controls.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Mentor and develop junior finance team members, fostering growth and excellence.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, acting as a key finance business partner.
Candidate requirements:
- Ideally fully qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) although applicants who are qualified by experience will also be considered

- Track record of driving improvements in financial processes and reporting
