Accounts Assistant

Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant looking for a new opportunity? We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established organisation in Birkenhead, seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join their finance team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing.

  • Process monthly sales invoices and manage credit control.

  • Perform daily bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for audit purposes.

  • Support the preparation of financial reports and statements.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.

  • AAT qualification or equivalent experience.

  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (such as Xero) is highly desirable.

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
